After three years of operating from a coffee van outside the station, Nomad Coffee Co has taken on a retail unit inside the building.

The move comes in response to passenger feedback and has been made possible thanks to Nomad’s close work with Great Western Railway, Network Rail and Amey.

To celebrate, the first 50 commuters passing through the station yesterday were treated to a free coffee and pastry.

Droitwich and Evesham MP, Nigel Huddleston, said:

“It is fantastic to see a permanent coffee shop open at Worcestershire Parkway. The station’s usage has far exceeded expectations, and facilities like this are an important part of supporting its continued growth.

“It is also especially pleasing to see a local business like Nomad Coffee Co grow naturally from an outdoor coffee cart into a permanent bricks-and-mortar presence at the station. Its entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and commitment to Worcestershire Parkway has clearly paid off, and it is great to see that success rewarded.”

GWR Regional Development Manager for the East, Zach Bailey, said:

“Worcestershire Parkway has gone from strength to strength over the past five years and now serves hundreds of thousands of customers every year, supporting travel, connectivity and economic activity.”

“Future customer growth is expected in the coming years, driven by housing and economic development across Worcestershire. The opening of permanent premises for Nomad Coffee Co marks the first step towards improving customer facilities at the station.”

“We recognise there is more to do and continue to work closely with Worcestershire County Council to secure funding to deliver future improvements.”

Café owner, Cat Rainey, said:

“After three years of operating from outside the station in our coffee van, opening our shop inside Worcestershire Parkway has been a huge milestone for us.

“At Nomad Coffee Co, we’re proud to be a community-focused independent business offering great coffee on the go, and we’re delighted to be bringing such a high-quality offering to passengers using the station.

“The support we’ve received from customers, partners and stakeholders has been incredible, and we’re excited to continue growing alongside Worcestershire Parkway in the years ahead.”

More than 450,000 passenger journeys were made through the station in 2024/25, reflecting its growing importance in connecting communities across Worcestershire with destinations including London, Oxford, Birmingham and South Wales.
