UK railcards: which one saves you the most?

Every GB railcard, its discount and how quickly it pays for itself.

Railcards at a glance

Most GB railcards cut one third off eligible fares; the 16-17 Saver cuts half. The catch is eligibility and a handful of minimum-fare restrictions, mostly on long-distance journeys before 10am. Two Together covers two named adults travelling together, and Family & Friends discounts children alongside adults.

The payback maths is quick: a railcard costs roughly the same as one or two long journeys, so if you save a third on a weekly commute, the card typically pays for itself within the first fortnight. Enter your weekly fare below to see annual savings per card.
