LopoRail displays live railway data from many providers. This document states our attribution policy; the authoritative feed-by-feed list — each feed, its licence, and the exact wording we display — is the Sources & credits register at loporail.com/data-sources/.
1. Our commitments
1.1 Named on the surface — every live figure names its source on the surface that shows it (per-provider attribution lines under boards, and in the legal footer of board pages).
1.2 Licence-exact wording — where a licence prescribes an acknowledgement (for example Network Rail Open Data under the Open Government Licence v3.0, or TfL Open Data), we display the required wording verbatim.
1.3 Registered centrally — the register lists every feed and licence we use, and is updated as feeds come online or licences change.
1.4 In-place media credits — photographs and reference media are credited where they appear, with author, licence and source page.
1.5 Honest labelling — where a country's feed is unavailable, boards show clearly-labelled indicative or sample data and never present it as live. Feeds under active licence review render no attribution line until resolved.
2. Reuse of our displays
2.1 If you reuse data or displays obtained from LopoRail — including through our APIs — you must preserve the source and licence attributions that accompany them, alongside any attribution required of you by these terms.
2.2 Removing, obscuring or altering source credits is not permitted.
