These are the general terms for using LopoRail. Specific products have
their own additional terms (see §10) — where they apply, they sit alongside
these.
1. Who we are
1.1 LopoRail is operated by LopoRail. Contact: [email protected].
2. Accepting these terms
2.1 By using LopoRail you accept these terms and the specific terms that
apply to the feature you use. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
3. Your account
3.1 You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials
secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
3.2 Age rules: the rail information is open to all; social features are 16+
(see the Age Assurance & Identity statement).
3.3 You can download your data at any time and delete your account —
deletion anonymises your personal details and is not recoverable (see the
4. Acceptable use
4.1 Do not misuse LopoRail: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt or
breach it, no scraping or bulk extraction except through a licensed API
(see §10), and no posting that breaks our
5. Your contributions
5.1 You keep ownership of what you contribute; by posting it you grant us a
licence to display and format it (see the
Content Standards and the applicable
contributor licence).
6. Our content and intellectual property
6.1 The site's own content and design are © LopoRail. The "LopoRail"
name and marks belong to us.
6.2 Some data is licensed from others (for example map data under ODbL, open
data under the Open Government Licence). Those licences travel with the data —
see our Data Sources register and the
6.3 You may not republish our content or data except as those licences or a
specific agreement allow.
7. Third-party links and data
7.1 Links to other sites are not endorsements; those sites have their own terms.
7.2 Live feeds depend on third parties and are provided best-effort — see
the API Terms (§5) and the SLA exclusions.
8. Availability, accuracy and disclaimers
8.1 LopoRail is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be
uninterrupted, error-free or that data is accurate or complete; **do not rely on
it for safety-critical decisions.**
9. Liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for the free
use of the site is nil, and for paid features is limited as set out in the
specific terms that apply.

11. Changes
11.1 We may change these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current
version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the
usual consumer carve-outs.
