On the Eidsvoll-Dombås section, work will take place from Saturday 26.9, at 07.10 to Wednesday 30, at 02.40. Northwards between Dombås and Trondheim S, a number of activities will be carried out in and along the track on the Dovre Line and around Trondheim S in the period 26.9, at 06.45 to 28.9, at 05.30.
– The work includes, among other things, condition checks and preventive maintenance, mass and sleeper replacement, replacement of culverts, avalanche protection, renewal of overhead contact line systems and work on the double track development through Stange municipality. This development project reaches a milestone when the new railway bridge over Tangenvika reaches land on the Espa side during the work period, says Regional Director Kristine Jessen at Bane NOR.
While the renewal and maintenance are being carried out, Bane NOR, the emergency services and several collaborating parties are conducting a major emergency preparedness exercise on Saturday 26 September on the Dovre Line in Rosten in the Sel municipality in the Inland region.

Large scope of work along the entire route
Various maintenance activities are being carried out on the entire stretch between Eidsvoll and Trondheim during the period. Most of the work takes place during the day, although some work is carried out 24/7. The noisiest work has been scheduled for the day.
The Mjø area
In the Mjø area, the renewal of the catenary system between Jessnes and Hamar continues. It is taking place around the clock. There is also mass replacement north of Stange and sleeper replacement between Steinsrud and Sørli and between Espa and Tangen. Work on the Tangenvika railway bridge, which reaches land at Espa, is also taking place around the clock. At Stange station, blasting will be carried out during the day. In addition, work is being carried out related to the construction of a new doubletracks during the day. At Bergseng we carry out rock protection and there will be a culvert replacement between Jessnes and Brumunddal, to name a few.

In Lillehammer, Bane NOR is replacing the Skurva bridge with a new one. Work is also being carried out at the station. Up in Gudbrandsdalen, we are replacing game fences between Fåberg and Øyer in connection with the new E6. Between Fåberg and Losna, we are carrying out drainage measures. Rail replacement on the Losna and Tretten section, and at Tretten station, culverts will be replaced. Preventive maintenance is being carried out at Vinstra station, in the Sjoa-Otta area and at Dombås.We are replacing the mass and rails.
North of Dovre
North of Dovre, we are carrying out drainage measures and culvert replacement in Soknedalen and rock protection in Drivdalen. Condition checks, mass replacement and rail and sleeper replacement will be carried out on the section up to Trondheim. Station measures are also being carried out at Melhus station and maintenance related to Trondheim S. In addition, maintenance of the Skansen bridge in Trondheim continues. The bridge will therefore not be open during the work period.
Safety and rehabilitation on the Rauma Line
While the Dovre Line is closed for maintenance, we are taking the opportunity to work on the Rauma Line. There, we are carrying out, among other things, avalanche protection, condition monitoring, rehabilitation work on the Jora, Stuguflåten and Kylling bridges, as well as maintenance in the Stavem Tunnel and work in the Botheim Tunnel between Dombås and Lesja.
“Renewal and maintenance of the railway provides a more robust and reliable infrastructure. In the long term, this contributes to better punctuality and makes the train a more attractive transport alternative for more travelers,” says Kristine Jessen.
