The exercise will train the actors in interaction, communication and handling of a serious railway incident. It includes field response resources, establishment of a command post for the incident commander and evacuation of passengers. Approximately 190 markers will help to make the scenario realistic.

The exercise is being conducted to strengthen the ability to handle serious incidents on the railway and ensure that the actors are well prepared if a real situation should arise.

Ahead of the full-scale exercise, a digital VR exercise was conducted at Dombås on September 10. It is intended to give emergency personnel a common situational picture and a better basis for strategic decisions before the physical exercise.
